On June 16 in Pineto (TE) Exercise with citizens

Saturday, June 16 in Pineto (TE) will simulate a civil protection alert envisaged among the activities of “LIFE PRIMES” (Preventing flooding risk by making crueconsortium communities-preventing flood risk by making the communities resilient), European project that aims to reduce the damage caused to the territory and the population by events such as floods, floods and storms, due to intense meteorological phenomena that are becoming more and more frequent, making communities aware and prepared on the effects of Flood risk which actively participates in preventive and alerting actions.
The exercise is aimed at testing the response capacity of the civil protection system and providing a formative moment for the participants with the aim of improving the response in case of emergency.
A critical orange is simulated for the hydraulic hazard emitted by the functional centre of the Abruzzo region against which the municipality will activate the COC; A communication will then be disseminated to overcome the hydrometric threshold of pre-alarm and alarm of the Vomano River. Two typical situations will be simulated in case of flooding in the fraction of Scerne di Pineto such as the flooding of an area inside a tourist structure and an underpass and the actions to be put in place for the overcoming of the emergency and the restoration of Conditions of normality.
The exercise involves the involvement of the civil protection system from the regional to the local level with the participation of about 30 operators and with the use of means and equipment belonging to the voluntary associations.
